American Security Bank & Trust is committed to protecting our customers from on-line fraud and keeping your private information just that – private. We will not request sensitive information, or ask verification of such information, through electronic mail.

Recently, some customers have reported receiving fraudulent electronic messages from a sender closely imitating our e-mail address. These e-mails are designed to get customers to divulge personal information that would facilitate identity theft. This process – known as “phishing” – is becoming more common around the financial services industry. Please beware of any e-mail correspondence that requests personal information (i.e. social security number, date of birth) or account information.
